SPRING!!

The snow is gone, the days are long, and yellow-rumped warblers are back at the feeder. Yeah spring! Sylvie started going to the Montessori preschool at the end of March and its been a super smooth and positive transition. Here she is on her first day at 'school' - a little apprehensive, but happy to have some new friends already.

Warm(ish) on the deck in early spring

Sunbathing on the shore of Kathleen Lake after a great Easter long weekend in Haines. We went with some friends and took turns ski touring so that the mums and the dads each had a day of ski touring and a day of beach time/shopping with the kids.

Sylvie proudly about to dig into her homemade strawberry shortcake.

And now its time for a little 'special episode' on Reid. Here are a few pics taken in the last couple of months that I feel really capture the boy. Also known as Bambam, the Menace, Chunk, or Badeed (rhymes with Reid).

What he does when he's tired:

Mmmmm, glorious mud! This is his first real spring and he's been right into everything about it. The dirt, the mud, the rocks, the water. Can't seem to get enough. (We try and keep the amount ingested to a minimum - despite what this picture might suggest).

So THATS what the tray is for.

Sylvie's lunch tastes so much better than mine!!

Aunty Kath catching him white-handed in the flour bin. (BTW - we miss you Kath!)

And in case you wondered what happened to dear sweet Ruby here she is napping in the flower box after a day of skiing.
